A Giverny, LaCollection organise sa première exposition française, en partenariat avec le musée des beaux-arts de Boston

En 1890, Claude Monet achète une maison dans le village de Giverny et se lance dans un projet ambitieux pour créer les jardins à  partir desquels il peindra le reste de sa vie. En 1893, Monet crée un bassin rempli de nénuphars blancs de France, d’Amérique du Sud et d’Egypte. En 1899, il commence à  peindre les nénuphars, ce qui l’occupera pendant les 20 années suivantes.

123 ans après, la technologie numérique permet à  des pastels fragiles du père de l’impressionnisme de voyager jusqu’en Normandie, o๠ils sont nés.

Mais l’exposition co-organisée par la plateforme LaCollection et le Museum of Fine Arts de Boston présente également des reproductions numériques de dessins réalisés par Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille PIssarro et Edgar Degas.

  • 24 pastels vendus en format NFT

Ces dessins font actuellement l’objet d’une vente sous la forme de NFT. (ARTICLE CLIC:  Le Museum of Fine Arts de Boston et LaCollection vont vendre des NFT de pastels pour financer la restauration de 2 peintures de Degas)

Cette initiative est inspirée par une exposition qui avait été proposée par le musée de Boston en 2018/19, « French Pastels : Treasures from the Vault ».

En partenariat avec le MFA, laCollection offre l’opportunité unique de collectionner les NFTs de 24 des extraordinaires pastels français de la célèbre collection d’œuvres impressionnistes du MFA.

Depuis le 14 juillet 2022, cinq ventes mettant en vedette 13 NFT sont proposées.

Pour les 11 œuvres restantes, les ventes seront lancées d’ici fin 2022.

Le produit de chaque vente permettra de soutenir l’étude, le traitement et la conservation de deux tableaux d’Edgar Degas.  

  • Soirée au British Museum

Le 21 juin 2022, pour remercier sa communauté grandissante, LaCollection a réuni 100 collectionneurs de NFT du monde entier dans la Grande Cour du British Museum. Cet événement permettait de célébrer la première année de collaboration entre l’institution muséale et la plateforme, avec un invité d’honneur prestigieux, l’artiste numérique Refik Anadol.
