La Cité des Sciences et le Palais de la découverte passent à la TV

Le 31 décembre dernier à minuit, la Cité des sciences et de l’industrie et le Palais de la découverte lançaient universcience.tv : la première Web TV scientifique et le fruit numérique de la fusion administrative et juridique (le 1er janvier 2010) des deux établissements dédiés à la vulgarisation scientifique.

Des musées qui s’associent à la télévision

A l’occasion de leur regroupement, le 1er janvier en un grand établissement de culture scientifique et technique nommé Universcience, la Cité des sciences et de l’industrie et le Palais de la découverte ont conçu ce projet original et novateur qui contribue au rayonnement de la culture scientifique et technique. C’est un nouvel exemple d’association entre les musées et l’audiovisuel. (A lire : les musée et télés font cause commune).

Interviews, reportages, entretiens, webdocumentaires : une programmation foisonante pour tous les publics

Dès son lancement, la WebTV propose une grille de 16 cases-programmes, renouvelées chaque semaine tel un magazine vidéo. La programmation est basée sur une production rigoureuse sur le fond, ludique dans sa forme, et s’adresse au scientifique comme à l’amateur.

Avec une équipe de 10 personnes, un budget de 650 000 euros versé par l’Etat, la chaà®ne repose également sur des partenariats avec des instituts de recherche, chaà®nes TV et sites internet, comme : Sceren-CNDP, CNRS Images, Inserm, Inria, CEA, CNES, Arte-France, terre.tv €¦

Universcience.tv veut créer des rendez vous pour les internautes en programmant des rencontres évènement en direct avec des scientifiques, ingénieurs … Le rendez vous est annoncé sur le site internet et peut ainsi fidéliser une nouvelle communauté. Un blog ainsi qu’un forum permet aux internautes d’échanger avant et après la diffusion des sujets. Des émission inédites destinées au jeune public sont également produites.

Aux 16 cases-programmes d’universcience.tv s’ajouteront exceptionnellement des webdocumentaires, des directs lors d’événements spéciaux et des hommages à de grands scientifiques. Le premier hommage est consacré à Claude Lévi-Strauss.

Une WebTV qui s’exporte !

Au cours de l’année 2010, universcience.tv sera accessible sur i-phone et les programmes seront proposés sur certaines chaà®nes TV ADSL. Pour l’instant, les internautes peuvent déjà retrouver universcience sur Facebook (avec déjà 160 fans), Twitter ou encore Dailymotion et notamment sur la vitrine du Clic, CulturesTV.
