La Cité des Sciences (Universcience) lance « Zoom lecture », un appel à résidence afin d’imaginer des dispositif pour « mieux entrer dans la lecture »

La Bibliothèque de la Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie de Paris souhaite accueillir toute personne, en solo, petite entreprise ou structure souhaitant élaborer élaborer son projet ou mener ses recherches autour du thème « Zoom lecture 2019, un dispositif pour mieux entrer dans la lecture« . Chaque candidat sélectionné pourra collaborer avec des familles et enfants, pour mener à bien ses expériences.

« Vous participez à un projet de recherche lié à la lecture et souhaitez le construire en interaction avec les publics ? La bibliothèque est prête à vous accueillir ! » annonce la Cité des sciences sur son site web.

L’appel est ouvert jusqu’au 31 janvier 2019.

L’espace jeunesse de la bibliothèque de la Cité des Sciences

Situé au rez-de-chaussée de la Cité des sciences et de l’industrie, l’espace jeunesse de la bibliothèque est un étage de la bibliothèque spécifiquement destiné au public enfant de 0 à 12 ans. Il accueille aussi bien les enfants accompagnés d’un adulte que les groupes scolaires et parascolaires.

La bibliothèque propose aux enfants en libre accès : des collections de livres et de journaux mettant l’accent sur les sciences et techniques, une vidéothèque, des jeux sur cédéroms et des applis sur tablettes. Des animations de toutes sortes s’y déroulent régulièrement, gratuites ou payantes selon les contenus.

La bibliothèque est en accès libre et gratuit, du mardi au dimanche inclus, de 12h à 18h45. Un abonnement annuel gratuit est proposé aux enfants, pour emprunter à la maison des livres et des journaux de l’espace jeunesse de la bibliothèque. Un PASS groupe annuel à 38 euros est proposé aux groupes scolaires ou
parascolaires pour emprunter les documents de la bibliothèque et bénéficier des animations spécifiques.

Imaginer un dispositif pour mieux entrer dans la lecture, c’est quoi ?

« Interrogez-vous sur la place des technologies de l’information et de la communication dans l’enseignement, tout en discutant du renouvellement des usages d’apprentissage et des nouvelles attentes des enfants et des familles d’aujourd’hui. Ceci dans un contexte oà¹ la responsabilité sociale et environnementale de chaque projet est attendue. »

L’espace jeunesse de la bibliothèque de la Cité des Sciences souhaite donc soutenir l’apparition de ces nouveaux dispositifs « pour mieux entrer dans la lecture » dans une démarche de création, d’expérimentation et d’échanges oà¹ créateur ·trice ·s, utilisateur ·trice ·s, et chercheur ·se ·s se côtoient pour contribuer et participer aux réflexions et usages de demain.

La Cité des Sciences propose ainsi d’expérimenter avec ses publics de nouveaux produits, dispositifs, un service ou une appli en cours de développement ou encore, de développe son terrain de recherche dans le cadre de sa bibliothèque jeunesse.

L’appel à résidence est ouvert à toute personne, en solo, petite entreprise ou structure souhaitant élaborer son projet ou mener ses recherches en étroite collaboration avec les personnes visées et impactées par le projet (enfants et familles), et issue :

. du milieu associatif

. de la création artistique

. du milieu de la recherche

. et de l’entrepreneuriat.

Le fonctionnement de la résidence

Les candidats retenus pourront venir sur place à l’Espace jeunesse de la bibliothèque de la Cité des sciences et de l’industrie, pour expérimenter avec ses jeunes publics leurs produits, dispositifs, services en cours de développement ou encore y mener une recherche.

Travailler en étroite collaboration, cela nécessite :
. d’avoir envie d’impliquer des utilisateur ·trice ·s dans son projet pour recueillir leurs avis et réactions, et de leur donner autant qu’ils donneront,
. d’être prêt ·e ·s à consacrer du temps sur place, face publics et à respecter ses engagements vis-à -vis d’eux,
. de travailler dans une démarche de transparence et d’ouverture, et de communiquer avec la Cité des Sciences sur l’avancée du projet.

En contrepartie de l’accueil en résidence, afin de valoriser le projet après le temps de la résidence, il sera demandé aux résident ·e ·s de faire une proposition précise à Universcience à hauteur de leurs moyens et répondant à des intérêts mutuels (exemple : laisser une trace tangible du travail, un support de communication du projet, une action spécifique en lien avec les publics…).

La résidence à la Bibliothèque propose :
€¢ un lieu de travail modulable sur l’espace jeunesse de la bibliothèque (environ 1 000m ²) ouvert aux publics enfants de 0 à 12 ans et propice aux rencontres et aux collaborations ;
€¢ l’accès à des équipements (ordinateurs, vidéoprojecteurs, grands écrans , régie
€¢ audiovisuelle, mobilier…) permettant aussi bien l’organisation d’activités menées
€¢ en petits groupes qu’en grand nombre ;
€¢ un accès au Fab Lab et à ses outils pour réaliser maquettes ou prototypes ;
€¢ une visibilité en ligne et sur place ;
€¢ un accompagnement : nous apportons notre savoir-faire en médiation et pilotage de projets impliquant des publics.

Le calendrier

Les candidatures à résidences peuvent être déposées sur le site de la Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, via le formulaire de candidature prévu à cet effet, et ce avant le 31 janvier 2019.

La bibliothèque se réserve le droit de sélectionner parmi ces candidatures, celles qui lui sembleront pertinentes.

Les résidences sélectionnées se dérouleront sur une période maximale d’une année scolaire, pour une durée et une fréquence propres à chaque projet et convenues entre les deux parties. La durée minimale d’un projet est de 70 heures passées sur place.

Pour chaque projet retenu, un entretien individuel de sélection sera proposé. Une réponse définitive vous sera communiquée au plus tard quinze jours après l’entretien.

La Cité des Sciences sélectionne les candidats

. car les places sont limitées à deux résidences simultanées,
. pour que l’accueil en résidence réponde au mieux aux besoins et contraintes,
. pour s’assurer de la faisabilité de l’accueil et de l’intérêt pour les publics de collaborer pleinement au projet,
. pour accueillir des projets variés afin de mettre en place une dynamique positive entre les porteur ·se ·s de projet.
