A propos de Jean-Pierre Chabrol

En tant que  responsable des médias numériques au Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) de Sydney, en Australie, Jean-Pierre Chabrol dirige l’équipe Web, outil de médiation et médias internes du MCA, afin de créer et orienter une plate-forme puissante pour partager des histoires et des idées, engager le public, célébrer l’art et les artistes contemporains et atteindre les amateurs d’art.

Cette approche est illustrée par la  refonte complète du site Web principal de MCA (mca.com.au), la création d’un guide de musée mobile riche et innovant (mca.art) [webapp conçue en partenariat avec la start-up française Livdeo] et le développement de microsites pour les expositions phares.

Le site Web principal du MCA a reçu une mention d’honneur aux Glami Awards-Vancouver en 2018. Le microsite présentant les œuvres du grand artiste aborigène australien John Mawurndjul (johnmawurndjul.com) a également été reconnu internationalement avec notamment 2 récompenses, prix Glami-Boston 2019 et prix ATOM Melbourne-2019-Meilleure vidéo autochtone-Site Web.

Avant d’occuper le poste au MCA, Jean-Pierre a été membre de l’équipe qui a rouvert la  National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), Melbourne, Australie, en 2002. Il dirigeait le développement, la direction artistique et l’intégration du contenu multimédia de la NGV. Jean-Pierre y a réalisé des produits multimédias pour accompagner des centaines d’expositions de la Galerie. Au cours de ses onze années à  la NGV, Jean-Pierre a acquis une expérience de travail avec des sensibilités culturelles, esthétiques et politiques, négociant le tournage dans des situations aussi diverses que les sites sacrés autochtones, les studios d’artistes et les institutions culturelles.

Avant de travailler en Australie, Jean-Pierre a travaillé en Europe, produisant des contenus multimédias éducatifs et culturels primés en Europe, notamment en remportant le Prix Moebius-Meilleur CD-Rom scientifique-Paris. Jean-PierreChabrol est diplômé de l’à‰coleNationale de Cinématographie et dePhotographie de Paris (à‰coleNationale Louis Lumière).
