Déjà considéré comme un des marchés web les plus dynamiques du monde, la France est également un des marchés les plus importants du commerce en ligne.

20 milliards de dépenses en ligne en 2008

En 2008, selon la fédération française du e-commerce et de la vente à distance (FEVAD), les français ont dépensé 20 milliards d’euros sur les sites marchands, soit une progression de 25% en un an. Le web a représenté l’an dernier 79% de la vente à distance. La France comptait début 2009, plus de 48 000 sites marchands.

2/3 des internautes sont aussi e-acheteurs

Selon la société d’études ComScore, en juillet 2009, 27 millions d’internautes français (soit 2/3 de la population web) ont visité une e-boutique, soit une progression de 21% en un an.

Les 4 opérateurs de sites les plus fréquentés sont PPR (redoute et Fnac), Price Minister, 3 Suisses et Amazon.

Le poids croissant du etourisme

De manière surprenante, cette étude ne couvre pas les sites de e-tourisme dont certains d’entre eux sont devenus des opérateurs majeurs.

Selon Médiamétrie/netRatings de mai 2009, Voyages-sncf.com est visité par 7,2 millions d’intrenautes français, soit l’équivalent de la fréquentation d’Amazon.
Le même organisme d’étude estimait récemment que le nombre d’e-acheteurs atteignait 22 millions début 2009, en hausse annuelle de 13% et que les 3/4 d’entre eux -soit près de 17 millions- ont déjà réservé en ligne une prestation de voyage.

En mars 2009, une étude de Raffour interactif / Opodo révélait que 31% des français partis en vacances en 2008 ont acheté leur billet et/ou séjour su internet.

Des chiffres encourageants lorsque l’on connait la relation étroite entre culture et tourisme.
