Le musée Boijmans Van Beuningen de Rotterdam diffuse désormais en ligne sa collection de dessins de la Renaissance italienne

Le musée Boijmans Van Beuningen possède une collection de dessins de la Renaissance italienne de renommée mondiale, avec des œuvres de Léonard de Vinci, Michel-Ange et Raphaà«l. Depuis mai 2024, les images et notices de ces chefs d’oeuvres sont désormais diffusés en ligne sur le site du musée, gr ce à  une généreuse subvention de la Fondation Getty. Une exposition de certains de ces dessins est organisée à  la Fondation Custodia à  Paris du 12 octobre 2024 au 12 janvier 2025.  

Au cours des six dernières années, la collection de dessins italiens (1400-1600) du musée Boijmans Van Beuningen a fait l’objet de recherches menées par des chercheurs et des conservateurs d’Europe et des à‰tats-Unis.

Les résultats de ce projet de recherche sont désormais disponibles le notre site Internet du musée www.boijmans.nl/en/collection/research/talian-drawings-1400-1600, sur lequel plus de 380 dessins peuvent être explorés via des images et des textes scientifiques. Beaucoup de ces dessins apparaissent en ligne pour la première fois.

  • Une collection de dessins de la Renaissance italienne de renommée mondiale

Le musée Boijmans Van Beuningen possède une collection de dessins de la Renaissance italienne de renommée mondiale, avec des œuvres de Léonard de Vinci, Michel-Ange et Raphaà«l.

Les dessins de Venise et de Florence sont particulièrement bien représentés, avec plus de 400 dessins de Fra Bartolommeo et des groupes d’études des ateliers de Benozzo Gozzoli, Jacopo Tintoretto et Paolo Veronese.

Gr ce à  une généreuse subvention de la Fondation Getty dans le cadre de l’initiative Getty Paper Project, le musée a pu effectuer des recherches sur cette partie importante mais relativement peu étudiée de la collection.

Au cours de ces recherches, plusieurs nouvelles découvertes ont été faites. La collection contient désormais des dessins nouvellement attribués à  Pontormo, un peintre dont l’œuvre était au cœur du maniérisme florentin, au peintre vénitien Jacopo Bassano, au peintre de fresques toscanes du XVe siècle Parri Spinelli et au peintre florentin Niccolo Gerini.

La collection Boijmans comprend également des dessins importants et rares du sculpteur Donatello, du peintre paysagiste Giorgione et un ensemble d’études sur parchemin du début du XVe siècle de Pisanello, tous désormais correctement représentés sur notre site Internet.

Le catalogue en ligne comprend également un essai sur l’histoire de la collection.

Pour célébrer la conclusion de ce projet ambitieux, 120 dessins marquants de la Renaissance italienne seront exposés à  la Fondation Custodia à  Paris du 12 octobre 2024 au 12 janvier 2025.

Une autre sélection de dessins italiens sera exposée au Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen à  partir de novembre 2024.
