La Rmn €“ Grand Palais et Google Arts & Culture s’associent à  nouveau pour lancer une nouvelle exposition immersive sur le thème de la mer

Le 14 octobre 2021, la Rmn €“ Grand Palais et Google Arts & Culture ont annoncé une nouvelle collaboration pour lancer une exposition immersive sur le thème de la mer. « Inspirations maritimes » est également de la première expérience virtuelle Pocket Gallery disponible sur le web, dès son lancement.

à€ travers une visite guidée, immersive en 3D, la Rmn-GP invite à  partir à  la découverte de contes maritimes, de paysages orageux et de rivages baignés de lumière.

  • 40 chefs-d ’œuvres du fonds photographique de la Rmn-GP

L’exposition inédite « Inspirations maritimes » réunit quarante chefs-d ’œuvres issus du fonds photographique de la Rmn-Grand Palais représentant les collections du musée du Louvre, du musée d’Orsay, du ch teau de Versailles, du musée Guimet et du musée de la Marine, mais aussi de la National Gallery de Londres, du Ch teau-Musée de Dieppe, du MUDO – Musée de l’Oise, des musées des Beaux-Arts de Brest et Lille et de la Fondation Bemberg.

Gr ce à  la €œPocket Gallery € une fonctionnalité d’exposition immersive accessible sur l’application mobile de Google Arts & Culture (depuis l’App Store  et depuis le  Google Play), le public peut déambuler dans les allées d’une galerie en réalité augmentée sur son smartphone ou tablette et découvrir au plus près les chefs-d’œuvre de cette l’exposition.

Et pour les rendre accessibles au plus grand nombre, toutes les expositions de la Pocket Gallery peuvent désormais être explorées directement depuis un navigateur d’ordinateur.

L’exposition virtuelle imaginaire est organisée en 7 salles et 7 thématiques: « histoires maritimes », « ports de mer », « rivages ensoleillés » …

Chaque salle est introduite par un commentaire sonore, comme pour les œuvres qui sont également accompagnées par un texte et parfois par un contenu de type audioguide.

Cette nouvelle exposition de la collection Pocket Gallery est l’une des premières collaborations de Google Arts & Culture avec le musée du Louvre.

Google Arts & Culture propose donc désormais Pocket Gallery en 3D à  toute personne ayant accès à  Internet, afin d’en élargir l’accès.

En 2018, la plateforme avait lancé la fonctionnalité dans son application Arts & Culture, permettant aux mobinautes de voir les  œuvres de  Johannes Vermeer gr ce à  la réalité augmentée. Cette exposition imaginaire et immersive devenait le seul endroit o๠l’ensemble du travail de l’artiste pouvait être admiré en un seul endroit car certaines pièces sont trop fragiles pour être déplacées.

Google lance donc aujourd’hui une version 3D de Pocket Gallery sur ordinateur et mobile afin que davantage de personnes puissent découvrir des œuvres d’art célèbres, sans avoir à  utiliser son smartphone et la fonction AR.

Pour accéder aux expositions de la Pocket Gallery, consacrées au Bauhaus, à  Klimt, Art of Color ou Kandinsky, il suffit de cliquer sur « Entrer dans la galerie ». Les utilisateurs peuvent alors se déplacer dans le musée de la même manière qu’ils le feraient sur Google Maps Street View. Lorsque le visiteur entre dans une pièce, il est accueilli par un commentaire audio qui se déclenche automatiquement. Un texte et parfois un contenu audio accompagne chaque œuvre d’art dans laquelle l’utilisateur peut zoomer pour en découvrir les détails.



Google n’est pas la seule entreprise technologique à  proposer des explorations AR et 3D dans le domaine du patrimoine. Apple a récemment publié la Statue de la Liberté et le Royal Albert Hall 3D dans Maps.
