Lancement du nouveau site internet de la National Gallery of Canada

Le National Gallery of Canada (NGC) lance son nouveau site internet, entièrement (re)designé et (re)structuré. Plus interactif, riche et accessible, il invite les internautes à plonger dans les collections du musée pour (re)découvrir les œuvres, les expositions et les évènements du National Gallery.

Tout en un clic

Ce nouveau site bilingue, français anglais, est avant tout fédérateur de 5 anciens sites : the corporate website, the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography, CyberMuse, the NGC Foundation and Shop NGC. Harmonisé, le nouveau site représente désormais 30 000 pages de riches contenus. Des sites évementiels sont également ajoutés tel que celui consacré à Lisette Model. On y trouve des frises chronologiques interactives, des documents et photos d’archives et des commentaires audio.

La navigation du site est désormais plus intuitive avec une arborescence plus lisible. Un nouveau dispositif de recherches permet désormais aux internautes de retrouver par nom, siècles ou catégories les œuvres du musée. Un « i-calendrier » du musée présente également les évènements à venir et les internautes peuvent personnaliser leur agenda personnel.

« The NGC near you »

Pour être plus proche de son public, le National Gallery of Canada a décidé d’éditer un blog, rédigé par différents services du musée. L’idée est de faire interagir les professionnels et de présenter également les coulisses de l’institution. Sur le site, les internautes peuvent partager les contenus sur Facebook ou « aimer » une oeuvre des collections. L’institution met également en avant ses itinérances à travers le pays et l’agenda « On tour » des expositions à venir. Un paiement en ligne, avec un nouveau dispositif PayPal, est également mis en place.

Un site mobile (m.gallery.ca) est également développé pour les utilisateurs qui souhaiteraient avoir accès aux contenus rapidement depuis leurs Smartphones.

Pour inaugurer ce nouveau site, le Directeur Marc Meyer, n’a d’ailleurs pas hésité à se mettre en scène dans une vidéo disponible sur youTube ! Depuis différentes salles du musée, ou même en extérieur, il présente les nouveautés de ce nouveau site.
