Le Musée Andy Warhol dévoile sa nouvelle application pour Apple et Android Market

Le Musée Andy Warhol de Pittsburgh en Pennsylvanie annonce la sortie de sa nouvelle application mobile The Warhol Art sur AppStore et Android Marketplace. Une sortie synchronisée, encore très rare, sur les deux plateformes qui donne une forte visibilité à cette application développée par Toura.

Warhol Art App : au delà des œuvres

The Warhol Art permet aux utilisateurs d’analyser, d’étudier et découvrir les oeuvres de la collections du Musée. Les oeuvres sont également mises en lien avec des archives, des images, films ou clip vidéos appartenant à l’institution. Conçue comme un guide enrichi, cette application couvre la carrière de l’artiste des années 1920 à la fin des années 1980.

Le musée a souhaité développer une application unique, utilisable sur tous les supports pour préparer, vivre mais également poursuivre la visite.

L’application ravira tous les amoureux de Warhol et de son univers puisqu’elle annonce églement les itinérances et les expositions à travers le monde.

Selon Josh Jeffery, Directeur Web et numérique : « Notre but était d’éclairer beaucoup d’oeuvres célèbres de nos collections en les révélant avec des archives. Par exemple, avec cette application, les visiteurs pourront être debout devant une des peintures de Mao de Warhol et verront une vidéo de Warhol en train de la peindre. Ils pourront en outre écouter les commentaire du conservateur. »

Warhol Apps mania !

Le musée de Pittsburgh avait déjà lancé cet été une application permettant de transformer ses propres photographies en Pop Art (The Warhol DIY Pop app). Utilisant l’appareil photo ou la photothèque de l’iPhone, cette application emploie le processus célèbre de Warhol pour créer une oeuvre d’art personnelle. Après différentes étapes, les utilisateurs peuvent même partager leur « oeuvre » via Facebook ou Twitter. Une manière ludique et participative de présenter les oeuvres et la collection du musée.
