A l’heure de cette crise sanitaire qui incite chacun à rester chez soi, la Bibliothèque nationale de France continue de mettre à la disposition de tous la richesse de ses collections et la diversité de son offre numérique. Livres au format EPub, documents, podcasts, applications, sites pédagogiques, médias … des millions de ressources sont accessibles en ligne pour travailler, apprendre, se détendre ou jouer. Les comptes réseaux sociaux de l’institution, de Gallica, la bibliothèque numérique de la BnF, ou encore de Retronews, le site de presse de la BnF, restent mobilisés pour partager sélections, conseils et pépites.

Des milliers de livres en format EPub

Plusieurs milliers de livres sont téléchargeables au format EPub gratuitement depuis Gallica, la bibliothèque numérique de la BnF. Ce format est particulièrement adapté à la lecture sur support mobile (smartphones, liseuses, tablettes). Depuis «Les travail leurs de la mer » de Victor Hugo dans l’édition de 1876, illustrée par Daniel Vierge, jusqu’aux sélections jeunesse (Jean de La Fontaine, Benjamin Rabier, Jules Verne …), il y en a pour tous les publics.

Des conférences en podcasts ou en vidéo

Suivre les cours de philosophie de François Jullien, écouter Alan Lee l’illustrateur de Tolkien ou

entendre les voix mythiques du thé tre … Les conférences de la BnF sont disponibles en podcasts

Des expositions virtuelles

Le site Expositions.bnf.fr donne accès à 98 expositions virtuelles classées en 6 galeries (Le livre

et l’écrit, Ecrivains et conteurs, Histoire des représentations, Arts et architecture, Photographie,

Cartes, plans et globes). Une occasion de retrouver les déclinaisons web des grandes expositions

de la BnF comme Paysages français, une aventure photographie 1984 – 2017 ou Les Nadar, une

légende photographique.

Plusieurs portails permettent de s’immerger dans les richesses du patrimoine de la BnF gr ce aux

Sélections de Gallica, de la banque d’images et de bnf.fr: parmi des centaines de thématiques, le

voyage, la nature en images, le patrimoine gourmand, des globes en 3D ou des objets d’art antiques.

De la musique à redécouvrir

BnF Collection Sonore propose 45 000 albums en ligne diffusés sur l’ensemble des plateformes

musicales issus des microsillons édités entre 1949 à 1962.

Dans ce contexte de crise, la BnF choisit de rendre accessible gratuitement à tous l’intégralité de

son site dédié à la presse, Retronews. Toutes les ressources produites par les journalistes, chercheurs et universitaires- articles, cycles documentaires, vidéos et documents audio qui retracent et analysent les événements de la petite et de la grande histoire couverts par la presse de l’époque €“ sont consultables gratuitement et sans inscription préalable. Par ailleurs gr ce à une formule d’abonnement gratuit d’une durée de 15 jours €“accessible sur toutes les pages du site- , il est également possible d’accéder à l’ensemble des fonctionnalités de recherche avancée. Des dossiers pédagogiques en histoire, littérature, arts, architecture et photographie

Le portail Classes.bnf.fr dédié à l’approfondissement des connaissances propose plus de 80 dossiers pédagogiques et des ressources documentaires éditorialisées: d’Emile Zola à la Grande Guerre, de François Ier au Bonheur des Dames, Les «Essentiels de la Littérature » offrent de parcourir les œuvres et auteurs de la littérature française, du XVIII e au XIXe siècle. Des bancs de la maternelle au bac de français, les sélections éditorialisées de Gallica regroupent de nombreuses ressources pédagogiques gratuites.

Des albums à colorier et des jeux

Classes.bnf.fr donne aussi accès aux coloriages et albums à colorier de Gallica, classés de manière thématique: abécédaires, animaux, cirque, contes, imagiers, jeux, moyens de transport, paysages, plantes, publicités…… Différents jeux invitent les internautes à partir sur les traces d’Ulysse, incarner le roi Arthur dans un jeu de rôles, ou encore percer les mystères du royaume d’Istyald en jeu vidéo.

Des applications ludiques

La BnF a créé des applications pour jouer avec les collections de l’institution, en créant un récit en images avec BDnF, ou des monstres gentils avec Fabricabrac.

Pour les chercheurs et les étudiants

Les ressources électroniques restent accessibles à distance pour les détenteurs du Pass Recherche, soit une centaine de bases de données thématiques (presse, droit, sciences…) et 100 000 livres électroniques. Les outils d’aide à la recherche comme les portails spécialisés (développement durable, presse et médias) ou encore les bibliographies sont disponibles : de Jane Austen aux préparations de l’agrégation et du CAPES en Histoire, Géographie ou encore en Philosophie. Gallica regroupe également par discipline les ouvrages de référence utiles numérisés.
