Pour son exposition Babel, le Palais des Beaux Arts de Lille lance sa seconde application mobile

Le Palais des Beaux Arts de Lille inaugure sa nouvelle exposition consacré au mythe architectural de la tour de Babel et développe pour l’occasion sa première application d’exposition. Un dispositif mobile intéressant d’autant plus que le musée ne propose pas d’audioguide.

Babel, de l’allégorie à l’appli !

Cette exposition, exclusivement contemporaine, explore le mythe de la ville-monde lancée à l’assaut du ciel, l’allégorie architecturale la plus profondément ancrée dans la mémoire collective. Prisé des peintres anciens, le thème de la tour de Babel est revu et corrigé par quarante artistes actuels dans l’exposition « €¯Babel €¯ ».

Régis Cotentin, le commissaire, a voulu montrer que « €¯Babel est une allégorie artistique qui ne s’use pas €¯ ».

« Avec la construction de Babel, les hommes cherchent à se faire un nom face à la parole divine », rappelle Alain Tapié, directeur du palais des Beaux-Arts.

Tout est conçu pour inviter les visiteurs à utiliser ce nouveau dispositif. L’application pour iPhone ou Android est en effet téléchargeable gratuitement sur place, depuis la borne Wifi du musée mais également en dehors du musée, sur Appstore ou encore Google Play. Un déploiement complet au service d’une nouvelle médiation au Palais des Beaux Arts de Lille.

L’application, développée par Audiovisit, propose entre autres des vidéos d’artistes ou du commissaire de l’exposition et des commentaires audio sur 30 oeuvre présentées.

La navigation est facilités par des sections thématiques et les mobinautes peuvent aller plus loin en explorant la section 10 questions/réponses autour du thème de Babel.

Seconde application mobile

Il s’agit de la seconde application mobile lancée par le Palais des Beaux Arts de Lille. Ce dernier propose déjà depuis le début de l’année 2012 une application vitrine gratuite, pour iPhone et Android, qui comprend la présentation du musée, les commentaires de 21 œuvres « coup de coeur », des infos pratiques et un agenda. L’application, disponible en langue française et anglaise, est également téléchargeable sur place, gr ce à la borne Wifi située à l’Accueil du musée.
