Dans cette période de confinement, le département des Hauts de Seine propose des rendez-vous en ligne pour découvrir ou redécouvrir ses archives, musées et domaines départementaux. Les Archives départementales des Hauts-de-Seine mettent également en ligne le 23 mars 2020 une exposition virtuelle sur les Expositions universelles qui se sont déroulées en France de 1855 à 1900, à travers les traces qu’elles ont laissées sur le territoire altoséquanais. Et tous les jours, le Département des Hauts-de-Seine propose de découvrir ou redécouvrir virtuellement ses musées départementaux. Maison de Chateaubriand, musées départementaux Albert-Kahn et de Sceaux révèleront tous leurs secrets sur les réseaux sociaux !

Une exposition virtuelle pour les Archives départementales : « Des projets aux vestiges : les Hauts-de-Seine et les expositions universelles (1855-1900) »

« Entre 1855 et 1900, la France a organisé cinq expositions universelles qui ont attiré un très large public, et continuent de fasciner par leur ambition et les traces qu’elles ont laissées, y compris sur le territoire des Hauts-de-Seine. Les Archives départementales des Hauts-de-Seine conservent une importante collection d’ouvrages sur les expositions, véritables lieux de découvertes pour les visiteurs de l’époque. L’exposition de 1867 s’est partiellement déroulée sur le territoire, il a été question d’installer l’exposition de 1900 à Courbevoie, Eiffel a partiellement construit sa Tour à Levallois-Perret pour l’exposition de 1889, tandis que les expositions de 1855 et 1878 y ont laissé d’importants vestiges (Palais des industries dans le parc de Saint-Cloud, Hangar Y à Meudon, gare Lisch à Bois-Colombes, Pavillon des Indes et Pavillon de Norvège et de Suède à Courbevoie). Un focus est apporté sur le site de La Défense, souvent envisagé pour y établir une Exposition, et ce jusqu’aux années 1950 ».

La Grande Arche a 30 ans

« C’est l’occasion de revenir sur l’histoire de ce monument, dont le choix architectural a été arrêté en 1983. Mais raconter l’histoire de la Grande Arche, c’est aussi raconter les projets qui l’ont précédée, ainsi que celle de l’axe historique sur lequel elle est installée. Enfin, l’histoire de l’Arche ne s’arrête pas à son inauguration en 1989. Depuis, le quartier l’environnant s’est considérablement développé, tandis que l’Arche a été au centre de nombreux événements ».

Des Archives départementales toujours plus numériques

Depuis 2002, dans le cadre de sa politique d’ouverture de données culturelles et d’accès à la Culture pour tous, le Département des Hauts-de-Seine numérise et met en ligne les archives qui peuvent l’être, conformément à la règlementation en vigueur sur la communicabilité des archives publiques, la protection des données à caractère personnel et les droits d’auteurs.

Exemples de contenus et données mis en ligne: listes nominatives de dénombrements de la population jusqu’en 1936, répertoire des notaires, cahiers de doléance de la Révolution française pour les paroisses de Chaville, Clamart, Meudon, Sèvres, Ville-d’Avray, mais aussi registres paroissiaux, tables décennales et actes d’état civil de 1793 à 1942, collection de cartes anciennes €¦ sont à retrouver sur deux sites internet :
