Des institutions canadiennes et françaises s’associent pour « amplifier le rôle social des musées »

Le Musée des Beaux Arts de Montreal MBAM lance le projet de coopération « Le musée fait école ». Cette mission €“ la deuxième à ce jour €“ permet au MBAM et à ses partenaires (le Centre national d’art et de culture Georges Pompidou, le Musée du Louvre, le Musée royal de l’Ontario et le Musée des beaux-arts de l’Ontario) de joindre leurs efforts afin de redéfinir de nouveaux modèles pour les musées du XXIe siècle.

Deux ans après la mission Musées du XXIe siècle, le MBAM, le Centre Pompidou et le Musée du Louvre, ainsi que leurs partenaires canadiens, vont ainsi pouvoir approfondir leur réflexion sur le rôle social des musées dans les sphères de l’éducation et de l’innovation.

Par une série de visites, d’ateliers et de résidences, l’initiative collective « Le musée fait école » va permettre aux équipes des institutions canadiennes et françaises d’apporter des solutions créatives concrètes à des enjeux actuels en échangeant des pratiques novatrices en matière d’éducation et de médiation culturelle.

Le projet est soutenu par l’Accord Canada-France et le ministère français de la Culture, en lien avec le Département de la politique des publics (Direction générale des patrimoines).
