Sur une nouvelle plateforme web, le musée Nicéphore Niépce met en ligne 20 000 photographies libres de droit

Avec le soutien du Conseil Régional de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté et de la Société des Amis du musée, le musée Nicéphore Niépce de Chalon-sur-Saône invite les internautes à découvrir une collection de plus de 20 000 photographies, libres de droits et gratuitement téléchargeables sur un nouveau site internet lancé à l’occasion de la Nuit des musées, le 21 mai 2016.

Le musée Nicéphore Niépce de Chalon-sur-Saône (71) conserve depuis sa création en 1972, des collections photographiques de toute époque et de toute provenance. Des premiers essais de Nicéphore Niépce aux dernières avancées du numérique, le musée propose un regard complet sur l’histoire de la photographie. La diversité des procédés et des thématiques fait de cet ensemble une véritable banque d’images pluridisciplinaire.

Projet à l’initiative du musée Nicéphore Niépce et du Conseil Régional Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, le site internet Open Musée Niépce rend accessible au plus grand nombre 20 000 photographies libres de droits issues des collections du musée. Le site invite le visiteur à parcourir des albums thématiques, à sélectionner, télécharger et partager ces images.

Des images libres de droit

Chacune des images mises à disposition sur ce site internet peuvent être téléchargées et diffusées sur tout support, et ce gratuitement. Le téléchargement permet d’obtenir des images en basse définition et au format JPG. Si l’internaute souhaite des photographies en haute résolution et sans copyright, il peut €œdemander les images €, via un formulaire.

Un espace personnel permettant de demander les photos en haute qualité pour un projet

La création d’un compte personnel permet de sauvegarder les sélections de photos et de faire une demande d’images en haute définition et sans copyright auprès du musée. Il peut même devenir « commissaire » d’expo.

L’amateur de photo peut ainsi proposer son propre projet de diffusion. Un projet pédagogique, culturel, à caractère public et non commercial : exposition, micro-édition, projection €¦ Aux internautes d’imaginer de nouveaux modes de transmission et d’inviter ces images hors des murs du musée !

Une fois un projet retenu, son porteur bénéficiera d’un soutien intellectuel, d’un envoi de fichiers en haute définition ainsi que des conseils des équipes du musée Nicéphore Niépce.

Bravo au musée pour cette belle initiative. Une des premières en France en matière de large diffusion d’images libres de droit et de stratégie Open Content.
