NewImages Festival, dont le CLIC est partenaire, revient en et donne rendez-vous à  tou ·tes les professionnel ·les et passionné ·es de création numérique et d’œuvres immersives du 24 au 28 avril 2024 au Forum des images, à  Paris. L’appel à  projets est ouvert pour la compétition XR mais également pour la programmation hors-compétition, dont le thème est en 2024 le patrimoine !

Les producteurs français et internationaux peuvent prendre part à  la 7e édition de NewImages Festival en inscrivant dès maintenant leurs projets immersifs et numériques à  l’un des appels à  projets ouverts jusqu’au 30 janvier 2024   inclus (23:59 GMT) dans 4 catégories :

  • XR Compétition
  • Hors-compétition : thématique du Patrimoine
  • XR Development Market
  • XR Art Fair.

. XR Compétition

Tout projet XR peut participer à  la compétition internationale  d’œuvres numériques et immersives : la XR Compétition !

Jeux vidéo VR, thé tre immersif, spectacle hybride, mondes virtuels, réalité augmentée, œuvres 360 °  ou encore toute œuvre utilisant un  dispositif innovant  peut faire partie de la XR Compétition.

Toute œuvre sélectionnée par le  NewImages Festival entrera en lice pour remporter un des 3 prix (dotation comprise entre 3 000 et 6 000 ‚¬) !

Pour être éligibles, les œuvres doivent être finalisées en 2023 ou avril 2024 au plus tard (voir les termes et conditions).

. Hors-compétition : thématique du Patrimoine

Cette année, la programmation Hors-compétition aura pour thème « Le Patrimoine », entendu dans toutes ses acceptions : naturel, culturel, historique, matériel, immatériel, etc.

La programmation hors-compétition est ouverte à  l’ensemble des œuvres et expériences traitant de ce sujet et incluant un dispositif ou des technologies immersives (VR, AR, MR, jeux VR, expériences sonores ou de son binaural, thé tre immersif, installations, etc.).

Entre 10 et 20 expériences seront sélectionnées et présentées à  l’occasion de la 7e édition de NewImages Festival, du 24 au 28 avril 2024 au Forum des images et dans différents lieux au cœur de Paris, ainsi que via la plateforme virtuelle du festival.

La XR offre les moyens techniques et créatifs pour faire vivre ou revivre des lieux, cultures, traditions disparus ou non, créant ainsi un terrain de reproduction ouvert à  toute œuvre :
. relevant de la thématique du patrimoine : patrimoine culturel, historique, patrimonial, archéologique €¦
. narrative et immersive (XR, jeux vidéo, mondes virtuels, spectacle hybride ou tout autre dispositif innovant).

La programmation Hors-compétition est ouverte à  toute œuvre :
. sur le thème du patrimoine

. développée autour d’une (ou de plusieurs) des technologies XR (réalité virtuelle €œVR €, réalité augmentée €œAR €, réalité mixte €œMR €) ou de dispositifs immersifs (son binaural, jeux VR, entre autres)
. explorant de nouvelles formes de narration et de mise en scène. (voir les termes et conditions).

Ouvert à  tout projet d’œuvre:
. immersive et originale (film, jeu, performance, installation)
. en développement
. pas de financement minimum requis

Calendrier de l’appel à  projets et du festival

Début mars 2024 : notification des postulant ·es.
Fin mars 2024 : annonce officielle de la sélection.
Mercredi 28 février 2024 : deadline pour l’envoi du build et des assets 3D destinés à  la
plateforme virtuelle.
Vendredi 1er mars 2024 : réception des fichiers définitifs (exposition in situ).
Vendredi 26 avril 2024 : cérémonie de clôture (Industry Days) de NewImages Festival.
