Château de Versailles : une nouvelle expérience immersive invite le public à  explorer les « jardins disparus du Roi Soleil »

L’expérience immersive collective « Versailles : les jardins disparus du Roi Soleil » sera inaugurée le 25 mars 2025 au château de Versailles, faisant revivre pour la première fois « des sites mythiques et oubliés des jardins du château au XVIIe siècle ». L’expérience en réalité virtuelle autour de sites disparus permettra aux visiteurs de découvrir cet aspect méconnu de l’histoire de Versailles et de l’héritage de Louis XIV.

A partir du 25 mars 2025, GEDEON Experiences, Small Creative, VIVE Arts et le château de Versailles dévoileront donc une expérience inédite de réalité virtuelle.

« Versailles: les jardins disparus du Roi Soleil » permettra aux visiteurs d’explorer des lieux emblématiques et aujourd’hui disparus des jardins du château de Versailles au XVIIe
siècle, et de mieux comprendre comment Louis XIV entendait utiliser les arts, l’architecture et la nature pour affirmer son pouvoir et la splendeur de son règne.

Développée à  l’aide de documents d’archives, de témoignages d’experts du château de Versailles et de vestiges archéologiques, et mise en œuvre avec la technologie et les casques mobiles VIVE Focus Vision de HTC, cette expérience immersive plongera les utilisateurs au cœur des premiers jardins du château de Versailles.

La reconstitution scientifique et artistique réalisée par Aristeas, filiale du groupe GEDEON, transportera les visiteurs dans trois sites mythiques du château : la Ménagerie royale, le bosquet du Labyrinthe et la grotte de Téthys. Cette immersion fascinante révèlera le rôle crucial de ces espaces dans la construction de l’héritage historique du Roi Soleil.

Guidée par André Le Nôtre, paysagiste de Louis XIV, cette expérience conviviale permettra aux visiteurs d’explorer librement un Versailles dans lequel l’aménagement de la nature et les divertissements étaient au service du pouvoir et de la splendeur royale.

« Des éléments interactifs renforceront cette découverte autonome, imprégnant les utilisateurs de la grandeur et de l’ambition de Louis XIV, tout en approfondissant leur compréhension de la relation subtile entre l’art, l’architecture et le pouvoir royal » expliquent les partenaires.

« L’innovation scientifique a toujours fait partie de l’histoire de Versailles, des horloges les plus précises aux premiers vols de montgolfières », souligne Christophe
Leribault, président du château de Versailles. « Aujourd’hui, l’introduction de la réalité virtuelle ne se contente pas de perpétuer cet héritage, mais elle permet également aux visiteurs d’explorer une partie de Versailles que l’on croyait perdue à jamais ».

Présentée au public du château du 25 mars 2025 au 4 janvier 2026, l’expérience « Versailles: les jardins disparus du Roi Soleil » bénéficie du soutien de HTC Vive Arts.
