L’exposition « Harry Potter : a History of Magic » organisée par la British Library de Londres a fermé ses portes le 28 février 2018. L’exposition est désormais accessible à tous et en ligne gratuitement, via Google Arts & Culture. Une manière originale de plonger le plus large public au cœur de l’univers d’Harry Potter à travers des photos, vidéos et autres contenus interactifs.

L’exposition « Harry Potter : Une histoire de magie » a attiré des foules de visiteurs à la British Library de Londres. Elle mêlait des objets du monde sorcier, tels que les premiers brouillons des romans de J.K Rowling, ses archives personnelles, mais également les illustrations de l’illustrateur Jim Kay. Mais cette exposition se voulait aussi instructive sur « notre » univers magique, avec des balais de sorcière, les chaudrons, manuscrits, les peintures, mais également des objets utilisés dans l’art de la divination.

Gr ce à Google Art & Culture, il est désormais possible de revoir cette exposition en ligne gratuitement, mais également via l’application disponible sur iOs et Android.

Le mini-site est divisé en plusieurs sections:

Il présente notamment une série d’expériences interactives pour explorer les salles de l’exposition en 360 ° degrés, découvrir des objets présentés dans l’exposition (potions, alchimie, herboristes, livres de charmes, d’astronomie, de divination ou de défense contre les forces du mal).

Une expérience magique

En cliquant sur Divination, on peut également obtenir un zoom sur un Os d’Oracle chinois datant de 1192 avant J-C et regarder dans le miroir de la sorcière.

Les youtubeurs Super Carlin Brothers se sont même prêtés au jeu des leçons de magie en compagnie de Julian Harrison, le responsable de l’exposition.

La section Astronomie, permet de découvrir un centaure d’après un manuscrit anglo-saxon du XIe siècle, et d’étudier quelques pages de Léonard de Vinci et d’explorer la pièce.

Le site est disponible en six langues, le français, l’anglais, l’allemand, l’espagnol, le portugais et l’hindi.

Une belle coopération entre une institution culturelle et Google pour donner une seconde vie mais également élargir le public d’une exposition.
