Paul Getty Trust, Academy Museum LA, Museo Nacional del Prado, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Smithsonian Institution, The National Gallery London, California Academy of Sciences, National Gallery of Art Washington, MUNCH Museum Oslo, Powerhouse Australia, Museum of the American Revolution, Dali Museum Floride … parmi plusieurs centaines d’entreprises et d’agences, une trentaine de musées et d’institutions culturelles du monde figurent dans la sélection finale 2023 du prix The Webby Awards, actuellement soumise au vote du public. Pour la 27ème édition du concours organisé par International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, les internautes du monde sont ainsi invités à  choisir leur projet innovant favori en matière de sites web, applications, marketing sur les réseaux sociaux, contenus vidéo et nouvelles expériences (immersion, métaverse, installations interactives). Christies, Google Arts & Culture, et les artistes Jeff Koons et Yuga Labs figurent également dans cette sélection mondiale. Un seul projet culturel français a été retenu: OXYMORE par Jean-Michel Jarre et VRROOM, sélectionné dans la catégorie « meilleur design expérienciel metaverse, immersion et virtuel ».

Les votes du public sont ouverts jusqu’au 20 avril minuit. 5 jours avant la clôture, plus de 2 millions de votes par plus de 550 000 votants étaient enregistrés. La cérémonie de remise des prix aura lieu le 15 mai 2023, en direct sur Youtube.
